Dr Jelena Kosoric

GDC Number: 202790

BDS PhD

Jelena graduated from the University of Belgrade Dental School in 2000. After her vocational training year she was awarded a scholarship to join the Dental School in Geneva where she was involved in teaching and research.

In 2006 she completed a PhD at the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Following this she was a clinical lecturer at the Barts and the London School undertaking research and teaching of undergraduates and postgraduate students. Her love of teaching was formalized by achieving postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching.

Jelena has worked in mixed and private practices in south west London and Surrey since 2011 and has completed courses in advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry as well as endodontics. This has helped Jelena decide to further her skills in endodontics.

Jelena completed her 4 year specialist training in the summer of 2022 at the prestigious King's College London and was awarded distinction for her degree MClinDent in Endodontics.

Jelena says 'my priorities are to make sure that my patients fully understand the treatment as well as feeling comfortable and at ease as much as possible. I believe that once someone understands why certain treatments need to be done, they are better placed to choose the right treatment for them and are more able to deal with relatively longer sessions compared to the usual dental visits for simple fillings. Teaching and research are my passions and I try to bring this knowledge and experience to my everyday practice. Also, when necessary, I apply some calming and reassuring techniques used in paediatric dentistry to help anxious patients relax and make their time with us less worrying and more tranquil.'

Jelena's clinical work is endodontics at Warren House Dental Practice.
